Can you please share of your experience? Do you guys use light armor or just go with robes? Also is dual wielding swords better than daggers cos at some point you will be facing more opponents and can take just 1 down, there are also situations where stealth is impossible how do you fight against heavily armored tanks then ?

Light armour and Dual daggers. They are extremely fast with the perks.

Daggers for close ranged are better from what I've experienced. And I'd suggest using some light armor, personally I use nightingale which works great.

It's hard at first, you just have to get tour perks going. I was using regular clothes till around level 10 when I started getting decent light armor. I still kind of want to go back to clothes but I like the brotherhood armor. The bow gets really powerful after a few perks. I duel wield daggers for up close fighting 98% of the time. I do carry a elf shield and sword for when it gets crazy. But I've only pulled it out 2or 3 times. This is my second character, I was doing a battlemage and decided to make a second, haven't gone back to my other yet.

For daggers I use, Main hand - Blade of Woe, Off hand - Mehrunes Razor

Light armor - 3/4 (head, boots and armor) Nightingale, Ancient Shrouded Gloves.

As for my build - maxed sneak + all perks, 5/5 one handed weapon dmg + all dual wielding perks. Light armor up to weightless or whatever its called.

Day or night no one will ever know you are there, you can sneak up to a group of 5-6 enemies and take them out one by one while they stand there saying "Im gonna find who did this." With the one hand dmg perks you can use daggers exclusively, no need to switch weapons while fighting.

And do I have to go daedric smithing or glass to be able to improve those 2 daggers you mentioned or is arcane smithing enough ?

My guy is a dumb ass swordsman. But if it needs to be quiet, Jester boots + Jester gloves, a piece of clothing, that dagger the brotherhood gives you, and an ebony bow with ebony / glass arrows is all you ever need.

Despite what the above people have said, Swords will, eventually, back stab harder then daggers. For the sheer reason that daggers do not benefit from + one-handed damage bonuses. Bull-**** i know, because after you stack it enough, with a hard enough hitting sword the bonus it gets will be great enough to either come EXTREMELY close to daggers to extreme cases where vastly out do them. Partial benefit would have kept this in line.

Also, you can do stand up alot better ontop of that. Conclusion? Early-mid game, daggers crit harder, and do just fine in stand up if theyre enchanted properly. Late game, swords all the way because you cant always sneak up.

Light armor is also just fine, you'll appreciate its ability to move undetected better.

On a last note, just something to consider. Daggers swing silently, meaning you can miss and not be detected. Swords, however, cannot always. My solution? just dont miss.

Correct, swords have a higher damage range with perks.

Correct, swords have a higher damage range with perks.

I thought daggers could get a higher multiplier though? Maybe this is with certain armor. Do not know as I'm still working on my walking tank.
