Perks Past Lvl. 50?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 12:04 am

Does anyone know if you can select perks after you reach level 50? I'm not sure if this was already mentioned or discussed but I just do not have the patients today to skim through all the threads!

The level cap is 70, at which point all of your skills are capped at 100; No more skill increases, no more leveling. You get a perk every time you get a level, so no more leveling, no more perks. Ergo, you only get to pick 70 out of 250 perks. Choose wisely.

Until someone creates a mod to remove the skill cap

The Prima guide says you can get to level 81 if you max every skill, (80 perks) and that a total of 20 perks can be gained from quests.

You thought wrong.

Jail does not work that way.

By the second part you mean there are quests that reward perks?

So 100 perks?

I heard it was 80 perks to level 81 and 5 bonus perks after you cap. So 85?

I'm confused, everyone has a different answer.

Level 81 is the hard cap that much is easy to test. Do it yourself with the console like i did.

As for perks from quests, I wasn't aware there were 20 but I only did a small fraction of the quests. If the prima guide says its 20, then its 20.

This question gets asked way too often, we need this printed on the main web page, in the manual and in big bold red letters on the box art.

Jail does not work that way.

To clarify, jail now resets the progress on leveling an individual skill. It does not decrease skill levels (as this would break perks with their per-requisiites).

Thanks for all the incite everyone! I've done a lot of misc. quests and have yet to pick up a perk from that so I'm assuming the quest perks come from the main questlines!
