Whenever I try to load one of my saves the loading screen comes up and functions properly with the small texts bits coming in and going and whatnot. However, the game will never actually load and a "Disk is unreadable" error pops up. It seems that all 3 of my autosaves are affected and a good chunk of my hard saves, at least 5 hours worth of game time.

Is this an issue of the save files themselves being corrupted? Or is it something to do with the disk drive not reading the game disk properly?

I would appreciate any insight or possible solutions you guys might have.

Could installing to the hard drive be a possible fix?
