So, Daedric gear in Skyrim is just Ebony gear tainted by Daedra hearts?

Pretty much, yeah. It's ebony material with the souls/hearts of the Daedra infused into the armour itself to create a superb version of it. Some adventures [ Lore ] noted they could hear the enslaved groans and moans of the Daedra captured within the confines of the armour itself.

That's actually always been in the lore. That Daedric is just corrupted ebony. That goes at least as far back as Daggerfall, I can't recall if Arena mentioned it or not.

That actually sounds really awesome. I've read almost all of the lore behind The Elder Scrolls, but I've never found the information on how the Daedric weapons and armor are created. It actually makes the armor seem a lot cooler than before.

Are the souls of the Daedra always in torment within the confines of the weapons or armor? What is the Daedra was dying and you happened to fufill his last dying wish to transform his essence into a weapon?

Arena actually did not have Daedric armour; Ebony was the best you could get. So yes, it's always been that way, basically.

But why would an immortal want a fate such as that?

It is just the Lore. Game-wise, you won't hear this. Unless BH implemented this somehow or the famous "Personality" sword which taunted you constantly during combat in Oblivion. At any rate, I wouldn't enjoy being slaved to an item forever, let alone be destroyed or lost somewhere where no one will ever dare to go to retrieve said item.

There's probably a lot of things that Dremora do you would oppose.

I can seriously imagine those guys saying "You want to kill people with my face? Sign me up!"

Bad ASS. With the level scaling in Oblivion, I never had a character higher than level 23, and Daedric armor always svcked. Might end up looking at heavy armor this time round...

yes the soul of the daedra that owned that heart is forever bound to the armor forever transforming the ebony into a far superior substance and the soul is still conscious. same goes for daedric weapons.

Whenever you think that there's no Dremora who would/wouldn't ever want to do something, think of Sheogorath.

Exactly.

I would think it would svck for the daedra that you killed yourself and used their hearts cause as a daedra the moment you are dying you are just thinking, no big deal I'll just go back to my plane of oblivion, then all of a sudden your soul is confined to a peice of armor

I found it pretty amazing, especially if you wear gaming headsets, hearing those faint cries here and there would add mystery and flair to the immersion to that armour that looks out of place in Skyrim. BH should include this!
