Update me on the mouse issue

How is the mouse issue right now?

Does everybody have to use the scroll to get to the highlighted text before you can press it?
Do you need to use the arrow keys to navigate?

iv been reading a bunch of different websites and people seem to think only the pirated versions have the problem.. alot of people don't seem to have any trouble with it at all when the install it off steam. They could be wrong, i'm not sure since i won't get it till after school on Friday.

No idea about it "only being the pirated version" that has problems or not... but I've a retail version (disc), patched up, and I've got no issues at all using the mouse to click directly on menu items (don't have to scroll to them first), and I can rotate 3D objects in the inventory using the mouse fine.

To clear it up, just need someone that DOES have mouse problems, to post a picture of their retail copy and these forums in the background or something, just to totally clear up whether it's a bug only affecting certain people (eg perhaps certain mouse drivers, resolutions, or otherwise have the problem), or just the pirated copy.

(btw, while the UI isn't "amazing" for PC's, it's much better than Oblivion/Fallout, and I think it works absolutely fine!)

I find using wsad much easier. E selects. Whenever something says hit enter E works too, so don't hit enter. My mouse allows me to rotate items, select items etc etc. Right click a sword for your left hand, left click a sword for your right hand.

Do not remap e, f, q. These buttons have multiple functions, and the game only remamps them for the main ones, while making the secondary functions for the buttons unusable. Such as f. F is to select favorites. If you remap it you no longer can.

It's safe to remap sprint(alt) to shift(which is normally run/walk). If you play with always running on then remapping sprint to shifts much more natural feeling then trying to hit alt.

Menu isn't bad at all, besides not being able to view more then one thing and staring at long lists with no info besides individually selecting one item, gay.

To recap, it's much easier to use wsad in menus, your hands already there so no need to move your mouse about. Scroll does work on lists too. E=enter, so selecting things and confirming things use e. Saves moving your hand across the keyboard or off ur mouse.

I was having this issue as well, but it seems like Steam didn't patch the game quite right. Verifying the integrity of the game cache (right-click in games library, click local files tab, and click verify integrity of game cache) downloaded a couple files real quick and seems to have fixed it. Now I can click menu options and rotate items properly.
