. The game starts up fine, I see the dragon and the start menu, and it finishes loading the new game but then nothing happens. I've tried twice now. The first time it went to a black screen after loading. I could hear music in the background, but nothing is showing on screen. I tried launching the game again, got past the loading screen, and then it went to a white screen after my monitor flickered a few times like it was changing resolutions (the flickering happens when I start different games too, that's normal). I could hear music, but nothing was showing on screen except all white. This time I opened the task manager and it said Skyrim had stopped responding. I tried re-installing DirectX and even re-downloaded it from Microsoft. Every time DirctX tries to install it says the version I have is the same or better than it is and it won't re-install.Please help! Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as I'm dying to play it after getting home an hour ago from the midnight release here. I went from Epic Happiness to Epic Sadness
.Here's my specs:
Win 7 Pro x64
Intel Quad Core i7 920 @ 2.67 Ghz
4 Gig Ram
GeForce GTX 560 Ti with 2 Gigs of ram on the card
2 x 1 Terabyte drives
I just noticed I can upgrade my graphics drivers from 280.26 to 285.62 so I'm doing that now. I'll post in a minute if that fixes it, but from some of the other threads I'm seeing on the forums here I'm guessing that's not going to fix the problem. Perhaps a hotfix is in order?
