I do not see why they cannot fix the framerate issues

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 3:56 pm

While yes the framerate is because of an unusual reason, I have played other games (pc) where there have been bug fixes which made the framerate of the game smoother. I am just saying that it may be able to be fixed. But I am still a little sceptical.

I don't exactly see how they can ignore the problem though, I mean have you seen the forums, every topic is about the lag and framerate, so they MUST be aware of it, though I wouldn't be surprised if they did ignore it.

What's your guys opinion on whether or not a patch has the ability to fix a problem such as this ?

I am mentioning this because I have seen a number of posts suggesting that this specific problem cannot be fixed by a patch due to kind of problem it is, but I am not sure.

I think it can be fixed. But I have a feeling it will take some time, If it's done the right way.

I personally don't believe that a patch will fix it, neither do I believe they are actually trying to. Look at the x360 and pc forums, they have specific topics about the bugs, I mean betehsda team has made topics about their biggest issues, yet here we are ps3 owners with the worst problem of all and they haven't even oficially said, "yes we screwed up with the memory leak thing". To be honest I was in love with this game the day I saw the trailer, but now I just believe this will remain broken or at best slightly improved, no..not even that really. I would recommend you to return your copy.

Bethesda's silence about the issue is indeed troubling. They've admitted the texture streaming issues on 360, but blurry textures are merely an annoyance. The PS3's lag issue is much more than an annoyance. It's game breaking. After 40+ hours, the lag honestly renders the game unplayable.

This is a real and serious problem, not just some superficial glitch. Bethesda should address it directly.

Saying nothing could be taken to mean either that they don't care, don't know how to fix it, or worse - that they consider it unfixable. Regardless, the product should have never been sold in its current condition.
