More perk points per level

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 2:37 am

I was wondering if there were any mods out there that might give you 2, or even 5 perk points per level. The reason I ask this, is because I have always played as a jack of all trades kind of player. I want to eventually be maxed out on everything, but to have worked to get to that point. So many of the perks look so damn irresistible that I want them all lol. However I don't want to just cheat my way to all of them, I still want to be limited by the level of the skill. I guess I like the idea of when my skill improves, being able to see some sort of improvement via perks. If I am not able to do that, then leveling the skill becomes much less interesting to me.

I know a lot of you wont like the idea, and like to play as a particular sort of character, ie. mage/warrior/thief or whatever. But yeah, just curious if this might be on the cards at some point, or if it already is.

Thanks

No mods that need the Construction kit can be available yet as the Kit itself isn't even released yet, I'm sure mods like this will be done once people can use the CS

Ah rightio thanks mate. I thought maybe someone might have messed with a file that assigns the amount of perk points you get per level. Which wouldn't have needed the CS editor.

Remember the second half of Jack of all Trades ... Master of None. What you are asking for is basically a god-like character, not a JOAT. P.S. Just because it's a mod doesn't make it not a cheat :). Which brings me to my second point: it's a single player game. Play as you like and don't worry about it. Want two perks per level, just use the console until the CK comes out.

I am not asking for a god like character. I knew someone would brand me as a cheater for this. If I wanted a god like character, I would simply cheat. I realize modding to make it somewhat easier could be considered cheating, but as I said, I would just like to be able to UNLOCK everything by working for it. I don't want to just be given the skills for free. I like having all content at least somewhat available to me. I have looked, and you cant give yourself perk points, you can only give yourself specific perks, which for some reason does not appeal to me.

I apologize - that was meant as more of a tease than an accusation. It's a single player game. Do what you want. I'm 48 years old which is way too old to call people names over a game :).

My point was that you can pretty much do it now. Invent your own rule system - it only has to please you - and then use the console to implement those rules as you see fit. Later, if the CK supports it you can hard wire your rules into a mod.

I do it all the time. Once the CK comes out I am going to mod loot, enemies, weapons, you name it. It will be to match my wants. In your case you can already do it, so go ahead.

This is a very easy mod to make and one could possibly make it so that at a sertain level perkpoints stops comming. All in all you get a bit of boost early on and then later your getting it harder with perks.

2-10 you get 3 perks / level
11-20 you get 2 perks / level
21-30 you get 1 perk / level
31-40 you get 0.5 perks / level (or one every second level)
and so on...

This is something I'm looking for too. I don't see how to do it in the console though. I only see a command to add or remove specific perks.

Ended up finding a trainer for unlimited perks points. So I can still only unlock those I have a level for, its just a bit more 'cheating' than i would have liked. Hope a mod comes out soon to adjust the number of points received per level. I like Syche's idea, so long as EVENTUALLY you can get them all.
