[Request] Arena + Arena Faction

Can't be a TES wihtout an arena!

A small village wiht a huge arena in the middle of nowhere or in one of the existing cities would be awesome! Additionally an arena faction would be a huge plus!

It could be made even more awesome if it were to make use of Radiant's AI. For example catching preys for the arena. Or weekly/daily/etc. arena matches.

I for one would like to work on a big arena mod, but it's going to take some time. Once they release the CK and I get to play with it for a bit, I'd still like to try tackling it.

Who knows, some big Arena project might pop up too. It seems to be in pretty high demand. My idea alone would probably require a team, but then I can't seem to ever do anything small.

I remember the guy behind the Real Swords mod was working on a huge expansion to the Oblivion Arena. Perhaps he could be convinced to port the content he created over? He had a bit of a thing for Celtic design, so I have no doubt he's already got his copy of Skyrim.

Wouldn't be able to do a port from an older game, as it's forbidden by Bethesda (legal issues and whatnot). It's going to have to be done from scratch, but honestly I think that would be the best way to do it anyway. A port would surely require so much reworking that you'd end up spending as much time if not more getting it polished for the drastically different system. Custom meshes are the exception to this though. I'm pretty sure it would be okay to bring those over to Skyrim.
