So a buddy of mine posted this youtube vid a few hours ago, and god help me, I know what song he's talking about, but I'll be damned if I can figured it out. I'm fairly sure he's got the lyrics wrong/mixed up with another song, as a multitude of googles has produced nothing. Please help us figure this one out.
(I say "us" because now this is eating my brain alive as well)

Played on small local station in mid-late 90's, but ultimately unsure of the release date
Signed band, not local/unsigned
Post-Grunge, harder style rock

And... It's been solved. Forgot my cousin used to work on the computers at the station that we both heard it on. He was able to name it in a matter of minutes.

I also need help finding a song. It is an Eric Clapton son. It is an instrumental, and I think he did it during his solo career. The song is about two minutes long. That's all I know
