For those of you who were unfortunate enough to have the patch break their game rather than improve it I have the fix.

I managed to make a backup of Rage before the patch so I have the original unpatched files.

Just unzip the file into your Steam folder and overwrite any files.

You may want to put Steam in offline mode to prevent it from redownloading the patch.
