It wasn't allowed in Oblivion.
It was allowed in Skyrim.
I don't know about prior games.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Dark magic? No there is no such thing in any TES games.

There is Daedric and Necromantic related Magics and those are likely what you mean. They are not necessarily evil or that common idea of Dark magic though.

I have no idea i those things are in the MMO but I would assume so.

By Dark Magic that is indeed what I meant. Was Necromancy allowed in Morrowind? Daggerfall?

I cannot speak for Daggerfall but the Dunmer in Morrowind HATE Necromancy despite practicing what they view as acceptable forms of it. That is why it something of a grey area.

Morrowind was the first game to feature the conjuration school. Arena and Daggerfall had no spell effects that could produce a friendly npc to fight alongside you.

I don't know if they are but that will be cool if they do. i like conjuration magic for my Breton characters. I don't really see why they wouldn't add in the game.

necromancy has its finest hour in skyrim, it was in morrowind in a limited sense. being able to summon bonelords. [an enemy i desperately miss :( ]

there should be some sort of antihero summoner class, if not at the begining then eventually. its all about that roleplay!
