I am having a real headache with the blood on the ice glitch. First, I have completed the imperial faction missions and took over windhelm. I cannot buy a house, because of the "unpleasantness." I assume this has to do with the murders, but I cannot even start the quest to find out who the murderer is! Combine that with the fact that I cannot be a thane in Eastmarch (I completed the 5 "help the people of eastmarch" tasks, but I cannot talk to the jarl of windhelm to become a thane). What gives here, and why doesn't the murderer in Windhelm quest even start for me (I have repeatedly left the city more times than I can remember, it should have shown up already)

Another issue involves the maps showing who controls the various settlements, forts, villages, etc. associated with the civil war. Bethesda, take the time and make the flags the right colors as you go through the imperial or stormcloak quests please. Doesnt take that long to pay attention to little details like that. The biggest problem though is my inability to buy a house in windhelm.

Oh, and another problem. The body of Ulric after killing him in winterhold stays there indefinitely... seems stupid to have a dead person body in the middle of the hall of kings
