Non-Xbox360 controllers?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 3:28 pm

I have available to me a logitec controller that I was hoping to use for skyrim, but I can't seem to find any place in the config that will allow me to use it. Am I really out of luck? Has anyone found a workaround?

I don't know if this will work but you can try to install motionjoy and set it to emulate the 360 pad.

I haven't tried using a controller yet. I have a wired 360 controller I could use, and also a Logitec controller I haven't tried. If it's not recognizing a specific controller you'd like to use try a program called "Joy to Key". It assigns keyboard keys to controller inputs and should in theory let you use any controller you'd like. It also has a very tiny memory footprint and shouldn't use any resources that could otherwise be going towards running Skyrim. Hope that helps my friend.

I don't think you can get full anologue support with joy2key, but motionjoy will set your pad to emulate a 360 pad making any game recognize it as a 360 pad. I don't know if motionjoy only supports ps3 pads or not as that is what it is designed for.
