How do we get reimbursed ?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 10:26 pm

Hi

I have installed Rage on my PC through Steam. The game does not work, even with the "new" update.
Is it possible to be reimbursed ?

Thanks for your reply.

Seems we've found a moneymaking loophole in The System...so tempted to start a "games development company" and make a few zillion lines of code, give the thing a snazzy name, hype it up with a ton of pretty pictures and videos (maybe backhand a few game reviewers), then rake in tons of dollars and never look back.

Damn shame that RAGE is still having major problems. I thought this game was gonna be ground breaking. Where's DOOM4?

ah stop whineing and be patient. Yes its having issues but most pc games do during initial release nowadays, just sit on the game and play something else for a couple weeks, by then it'll be completely fixed. god gamers these days are impatient. I cant imagine what gamers these days would do with old school minute long loading times!

Stop whining? pft... it was working fine for me after three days of work and iD broke everything I did. Now it looks horrible.

I don't have any patience for faith that they will release a functioning game at this point.

me neither. I'm tired of trying to tweak the graphic card settings and always get freezing behavior.
It works more or less on console, this seem's to be enough for them. Although some troubles were also reported on PS3.

I don't know what doom4 is going to look like, but as long as it will be developed by (the former legendary pc-game makers) ID Sofware, I won't give one cent for it.
(and I'm very very sorry for that, I was so an Id Software fan-boy since release. And I envy the lucky ones that can make it on their machines... :/ )

So we should stop whining and wait a COUPLE OF WEEKS to play a bought game that has been released 1 week ago? They should have took more time from the release date and at least delay it this couple of weeks, not launch it and let us try and fix it for them...

Steam's official policy is that they do not offer refunds on purchases unless you pre-ordered and the game has not yet been released. However a few people have said they've been offered a one time only refund after they emailed Steam about how [censored] this whole thing has been. So you might have a chance.

Guys i really start to wonder the title is for people of age 18 where i live but the comments here just dont look mature to me.
Yes the Game is still buggy - i also have problems just to mention- but you got to give the guys a little credit they at least working on it and its :swear: weekend ...
I didnt compare anything yet but there has been worse this year --and im not naming a popular racing game no im not.!..and that other company didnt do anything for 2 weeks while ID does even weekends...
A single patch cant fix all problems since the PC platform is just to huge to cover every single hardware setup i agree it should have been tested a little more before -totally agree.
But i have faith that all things will get fixed.

This section of the forum is for reporting RAGE technical issues and discussing solutions. And that's it.

Returns are a matter between you and your retailer or Steam.
