Logitech Wireless F710 Gamepad Supported?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 11:47 pm

I just bought a gamepad to try with RAGE.

I have never used a gamepad with a PC before. I was able to install the driver and test the configuration in Windows7 with no problem.

However, when I adjust the settings in RAGE to enable gamepad controls, it doesn't seem to register this device.

Is there something I'm doing wrong, or does RAGE not support Logitech gamepads?

This is the device I'm trying to use: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/controllers/devices/wireless-gamepad-f710

I didn't buy RAGE yet, but 99% of the time if any PC game supports X-Box 360 controllers, it should support F710. Just make sure to set the tiny switch on top to "X" instead of "D". Maybe you have to do this before launching the game for it to be detected properly.

I tried also using my Logitech DualAction Gamepad... But no luck so far. The gamepad works perfectly fine with all other games...
It realy svcks, since driving with the keys is impossible (at least in races...)..

Thanks! That did the trick. Also there is a Logitech driver app that lets you associate the controller with specific .exe files.

I usually game from my couch using a mouse and NumPad, with laptop connected to HD projector and sometimes the mouse pad slips because it's propped up at an angle..

It was very convenient to use the gamepad, especially for driving.

However, after about 30 minutes my hands started cramping. I don't know how people manage to use them exclusively. I switched to using a trackball mouse, which seems to be a great solution so far.
