My thoughts on TESO.

I am just here to give my opinion on why people are in a up roar about TESO.

First is your name: Yes calling it Elder Scrolls Online is a mistake. Elder Scrolls is your single player RPG franchise name. Should be called The World of NIm online by the developers of Elder Scrolls.

You can still make a good themepark game based of the world of Nim. Make sure you have exploreable quests, PvE Mobs on par with players on diffculty, Few instances, no static AI, World interaction, Elite open world areas, Open world PvP, Try and view it like making it a copy of Vanilla WOW instead of the new WOW. That is what made WOW such a big hit at launch.

Dungeons need to be hard, players can just except you will die the first few run throughs of a dungeon, make bosses more intelligent than tank and spank.

No cinimatics: Most players do not like the game being played for them! Doesn't mean you can't have a good story.

Zeni knows what they're doing. The series is in better hands now.

But it's not by the developers of Elder Scrolls, it's being developed by Zenimax Online Studios, not Bethesda Game Studios.

Also, what about the past 2 Elder Scrolls that had multiplayer in them, shouldn't they have used "Elder Scrolls" in their names either? The Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire and The Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey?

Bold text is my response.

Should be called The World of NIm online by the developers of Elder Scrolls. No, the Elder Scrolls is the name of the franchise in general, thus Elder Scrolls Online works perfectly, it would have been different if they put a number behind it.

You can still make a good themepark game based of the world of Nim. That is what made WOW such a big hit at launch. How about viewing it like making your own game?

Dungeons need to be hard, players can just except you will die the first few run throughs of a dungeon, make bosses more intelligent than tank and spank. Fair Enough.

No cinimatics: Most players do not like the game being played for them! Doesn't mean you can't have a good story. I agree with this one.

What is that supposed to mean? The series is still in the hands of Bethesda.

well no aggro mechanic means you shouldn't be able to tank and spank anyways. also, i might be missing something but what the heck is "nim" that you keep saying. are you possibly trying to say nirn?

also cut scenes are fine and appropriate for almost every game. I apprecieate them in my games.

it could be a good game but Im disappointed that so many things from the single player game were changed. Disappointed that Bethesda the TES experts didnt make it. And disappointed that there is really nothing new added. Seems to be just another MMO game with different lore. Its all been done before

As Matt Firor mentioned in this http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2012/05/09/the-origins-of-the-elder-scrolls-online.aspx, there were considerations for other titles. At the end of the day, calling it The Elder Scrolls Online made the most sense to everyone.

Tamriel Online would be a good name. But then again,What if sometime inthe future they add new places like atmora or akavir? or other places, then it isnt Tamriel online anymore. but still a good name.
