Is it possible at all to be caused by the disc or not?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 12:23 am

http://www.mypicx.com/11132011/Skyrim_issues/ < they are what my textures look like

is it possible it is my disc? I am not sure about this i wouldn't have thought so because i thought it probably wouldn't work at all if there was a disc error.

if its possible i can go and exchange my disc tomorrow.

I don't see anything wrong with your textures to be honest, I really don't think that's the glitch which everyone is talking about.

But about that glitch in particular; I hadn't installed Skyrim until today, I had no texture problems at all until I installed it. I deleted the game after I got the first texture glitch which fixed it right away.

Hope I helped.

Are you sure the videos and screenshots you seen were not of the PC version, I know they have better textures.

My textures look the same as yours, just count yourself lucky you don't have the extreme version of the texture glitch. Just uninstall your game and clear the cache, that should help for the time being if it is the texture glitch we hear so much about, then reinstall later when the patch is released.

Once again, hope I helped. :)

Hmm, I noticed the textures in the 360 Official Demo being better than the game but I believe that it's down to optimisation so the game runs better. The best we can do is wait for the next patch and see if that will fix it.

Just make sure you keep the calm, civil manner you have now or you will get your threads locked and then the developers may not notice, been happening a lot these past few days.

Hope I helped or at least gave more insight. :)

This could all be to do with the texture glitch everyone is having. I used to get it until I did this:

DIDN'T install the game as this is part of the problem with the texture glitch (if you have then delete the installed game and reboot your xbox), cleared my xbox hard drive cache as soon as I turn my xbox on and then run the game straight from the disk (and DON'T re-install) the textures load properly and remain that way regardless of whether or not I enter and exit the menu screens.

If you're unsure how to do this here is the link that explains how to do it:
