Lag Related to Dragon KillingCorpses?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 5:58 am

Just a suggestion, but I think the remaining corpses of the dragons isn't helping the lag issue cause. Personally, I could care less if dragon corpses remain. Equally, they are annoyingly in my way in certain places (a dead dragon right in front of the gates of Riften). Get rid of these persisting corpses, Bethesda. They don't need to be there and I now avoid dragons so as not to accumulate more lag/random bodies. They should be a joy to kill, not a persisting, blocking annoyance that induces lag.

Overall, great work! Just want you to know that.

Stats:

PS3 Slim (1 year old)
73 hours played
Level 46
Dragons killed: 27
Quest Completed 104
Lag persistent and noticeable after roughly 3 hours or so from a "fresh" start of 12 hours of downtime or more.

playstation classic, 60gb
playtime: just over 34 hours
dragon kills: about 20

lag: nothing at all
savefile size: 7409kb (have about 5 savefiles total)

not sure at all but the lag issues might have to do with the version of playstation people have.

I've also got the classic 60 gig PS3. Save file at 11mb. I put off doing the main quest so I've only fought about 5 dragons. Still lags to the point of being unplayable.

I just wondered, perhaps, if the persistent corpses are a contributing factor to the save size and ability for Skyrim to keep track of everything... My save file is 12.4MB?

mine was running fine untill i did the quest where you fight your first dragon after that the game strated laggin and after killing my 3rd dragon the lag was really bad so i think your right the more [censored] you do in this game the worse it gets but the whole point of this game is to explore and find/loot/kill loads of things :(
