GAMEBREAKING keybinding issue! : Othor Games

i can bind every single stinking key perfectly exept for one of the most important ones!! when i try to bind walk backwards to on the numbpad 5 key it wont work...meaning i cant walk backwards...yes i use the numbpad for all games and i refuse to play with wasd because i HATE wasd controlls!!! yea so meyb not quite gamebreaking but it is does break the game for me because i have been useing the number pad to play games ever since i was like 3 years old...i tried wasd and i hated it.....i have NEVER played a first person shooter on the PC with wasd controlls!! im screwed! does anyone know a way to fix this? i figured i should just turn off number lock but that didnt seem to help...anyone have simular issues binding keys? is this a bug? or am i doing it wrong?

I don't like the fact that you can't bind "use" to the return key. I hate that and I hate having to use "e". Even though I'm right handed, like you I hate using WSAD and prefer to use the arrow keys "8,4,6 &2) on the numpad for movement. Using return as "use" means that I can just move the small finger of my left had to press they key. I've used that configuration for donkeys years apart from the very odd game that hasn't allowed re-mapping of keys. I just find WSAD to be completely alien and unmanageable after all these years.
