Oblivion Planes?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 5:15 pm

Does anyone else hope we'll be able to explore planes of oblivion in TES O? I've been reading a lot on TES lore lately, and oblivion planes are very intriguing.

What about you?

It was stated by the dev's in a certain video (about the MMO, im sure you can find it since theirs only like 3) that the heightmaps and landscapes are going to be VERY similar to the Oblivion planes. I just hope the do the same, or atleast try, with Skyrim's landscapes as well.

Wrong. The heightmaps are going to be similar to the game, Oblivion.

But the main storyline revolves around Molag Bal, so the outlook's pretty good.

Yeah, I hope we get to explore a variety of them too.

I might've misunderstood your post, or what they had originaly said. But nontheless, I agree. Looks promising, to me at least.

The OP was asking about the Planes of Oblivion (Coldharbour, The Deadlands, Shivering Isles, etc), while that video was talking about the heightmaps- that is, what determines what the land looks like- from the game "Oblivion".

Well I would be willing to bet you'll get to visit Cold Harbor (I think its called). I could see visiting old Dagon again, seeing as how no lit Dragonfire would let him run around and do his thing. But I doubt we'll see more than that. Remember that in Oblivion, the same thing happened (free access to Nirn for the daedric princes) and the only "portals" you ever saw/got to go through were made by Dagon, Sheogorath, and Peryite. The others didn't seem to care too much.

This would make a great expansion but we obviously don't know about the lore of the time that TESO will be set in.

Don't expect everything to be in a release,MMOs are an on going project, they never end unless they actually die: ie SWG.
