That One Place

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 5:30 pm

Everyone has that ONE place from the Elder Scrolls series that just warms their heart and fills them with nostalgia. I'm very excited for TES O and can't wait to see some gameplay!

Anyway, my place would have to be Anvil from Oblivion, I got the game in 2006 and Anvil was just that town that drew me in. I started my fighters, and mages guild careers there and my first jailing was there too. For nostalgia purposes, whenever I join the mages guild or fighters guild, I always start in Anvil.

Needless to say, I hope to see Anvil in TES O someday =)

How about you guys?

i'm most excited for the summerset isle. I tend to play spell casters, so invariably i have a high elf charater or 3. Can't wait to explore their homeland.

Valenwood.

If it is how it is described in the books, I would consider getting the game.

That place with all the stuff

Balmora and all the way to Ald Ruhn.

And then you find out that they are locked away for future expansions, in all seriousness I would not be surprised if Vvardenfell isnt accessable at launch.

I can see Mournhold and the mainland, the island we'll have to wait and see.

Although i hate this game from the bottom of my soul, i'd say if there is one place i'd like to see, that'll be Akavir
I know it isn't in any of the previous games of the series, but the Akaviri culture really intrigued me very much, so mysterious.

A lil Off Topic, if theres any person i'd like to meet, i'd say i can't wait to see Talos/Tiber Septim.
I hope my lore knowledge is accurate, but Talos is around in 2nd Era albeit at late 2nd era right?

Trust me, the only reason they(Akavir) seem so interesting is because we do not know much about them and they pretty much exude mystery. This leads to speculation on our part. If we actually saw them made by developers one day I doubt they would live up to the hype. While it would be cool the mystery would be over and the interest would quickly fade.

Tiber Septim was active at the end of the 2nd Era. However the MMO seems to take place several centuries before he would be alive. A part of what will become Talos may be alive in the Underking Wulfarth though at this time. In fact around the estimated time of the MMO the Kamal Invade from Akavir and Almalexia and the Underking Wulfarth essentially take out their leader.

That's as far as I know. Idk though too much because I'm a little drunky...

Reading the timeline, it seems this should be the correct date to put the game:

2E 431 Civil wars and insurrection dissolve the Tamrielic Empire.

(from http://www.imperial-library.info/content/second-era )

Agreed, it seems the most logical timeframe.
Between the death of the Akaviri potentate and the rise of emperor zeroth.

After thinking about what you said about Akavir, i think you're right.
Its best we never know how it looks like. Best to keep it mysterious.

Besides even if they were to reveal Akavir, i'd rather Todd Howard to do it.
