I read somewhere on the forums that you if you have 2 character save files sometimes they over write each other?? can anyone confirm this I'd rather not start a new character and lose my main one?

There is a solution...create a new user name on your PS3 and the saved datas are separated from each other.

They will be overwritten if you only rely on autosaves. So don't, make a lot of manual saves as well.

I did this withFO3, and come time to get the DLC, I could not access it

I'm going to try Dead Is Dead for the new character so highly unlikely ill ever make it to any DLC content

Don't use autosave. I have 3 characters(32 hours, 7 hours and 4), and this hasn't happened.

I've got four characters all with hard save files, and they're all fine. I even have the very first one right before you make your character still.
