Object placement...

Has anyone noticed some of the crappy object placement?

The second quest for the thieves guild where you go to the house on the island, most of the drawers and end tables are round the wrong way with the drawers facing the wall so they open into the wall.

This is not the only place either, Hag's End is the same, a lot of the drawers and end tables in the tents are facing the wrong way. Did they play test these areas? I would let them off if these were not quest related areas. I've also seen items that should be on tables under them and objects floating in the air but I think that's a engine/physics bug.

Any other bad object placements out there?

The play testers probably just didn't notice something as minor as a drawer marginally opening into a wall when playing through those areas.

I mean, after you see one, you've seen them all so you tend to not notice little things like that, which have no impact on gameplay.

The only thing we both agree on here is the physics objects that fall through the static they are placed on. I hate that in every game with Havok physics, because it happens in all of them. A problem inherent of the engine.

It's not marginally opening into the wall it is opening into the wall...

Most of the drawers are 180 degrees the wrong way round so only the back of them is showing, how can people not notice. Most of the time in the game is spent looting from containers... It's just lazy placement. If it was just one or two then I would let them off, but it's about 50% or more that are wrong in these quest related areas.

I can imagine the level designer (probably the same person in both areas) just using CTRL C CTRL V on the objects and duplicate them then forgetting to rotate 'em. I didn't notice this in the previous games...

Just need a modder to fix 'em ^^, doubt Bethesda can be bothered.
