Well, lucky you! At least you get the high res textures to load. For me it looks low res all the time, with only occasionally loading a higher res texture when getting closer to an object. But even then it most often looks blurred, like as if there were 3 types of resolutions - low, medium and high, of which in 98% of the cases only the first two apply. The reason for me to think this is that there are *some* really nice textures between lots and lots of blurry ones. However, visiting Windhelm almost makes my eyes bleed. Are those stone signs on the wall supposed to be readable? I can barely decypher the first few words on them, and that was even one of the higher res textures, because I saw how it loaded as I got closer.
In all honesty, I'm getting a serious headache by looking at the game. The difference in sharpness troubles my brain, when looking at 3 objects with 3 different resolutions my eyes try to focus on the blurry textures to sharpen them up but fail to do so. Ever walked around with only one contact lense when you need two? The effect is similar.
I know there are more serious issues that need to be dealt with, namely the lag (which I'm not yet experiencing, I'm right at the edge to 6mb), but I do hope that I'm not stuck with a game which is visually THAT much worse than the 360 version either.
