It is true that some people are not as susceptible to framerate issues as others but in this case the game sinks into the single digits becoming a slideshow thus it is impossible to not notice.

You'll also notice that many don't even understand the difference between lag (an internet connection/latency issue) and memory leaks/framerate drops.
