I play with a 360 controller..

Will mods work well with a controller? Mods that require to use the action button for example, will it work with a controller, is this done all automaticly or will mods have to programme the use of controller?

Thanks guys!

You'll be able to play all mods that do not add new hotkeys. There could be some problem with scripting but I doubt it... we'll just have to wait and see when the modding tools get released. :)

User interaction with objects isn't (normally) based on what physical key you press , whether it's a button on your keyboard or one on your controller.

You should be able to use your key board and mouse in conjunction with your controller. I can't test it myself but if it's not working we may need to add the background keyboard and mouse settings back to the INI. If that doesn't work we''ll have to wait a bit and see if maybe SKSE can ease the woes. If that doesn't work do as i do and use a programmable gamepad that emulates the keyboard and mouse and learn to use all three.

This most definitely does not work out of the box. I use a 360 controller, and as long as it's turned on, the mouse and keyboard does absolutely nothing in game (except for arrows navigating menus, strangely).

It really svcks because I want to use my keyboard for some things and my controller for most things, but it doesn't work.

I'm really hoping a patch will enable the keyboard (every single key) while using a controller. There's really no need for them to be mutually exclusive (a la Batman: Arkham Asylum) and controller users are gonna need access to mod added hotkeys without having to disable then re-enable their controllers.
