Hot-Key Mod Request

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 6:01 am

As most know by now there are eight available hot-keys. Described in the manual as, “You can also assign primary and secondary Quick Keys by pressing F to pull up the Inventory/Magic Menu. Then, holding down one of the number keys (1 through 8) from the Favorites menu for about a second. Swap between items during gameplay by tapping the assigned number key.”

I would like to request a MOD or a Bethesda Patch/Fix that would allow for the following (not rocket science):

One full set of hot-keys for your RIGHT hand and one full set for your LEFT hand. Finally, add some COMBO sets to be saved (i.e. hot-keys that preset BOTH hands such as sword/shield and mace/spell similar to the existing design but one that ALWAYS places those two items in your hands). Also, that they include keys 1-0 (i.e. ten keys each). Very simple, for your RIGHT hand you set the 1-10 keys using the standard CTRL-# combination while highlighting the item/spell/favorite. For your LEFT hand the same however you’d use CTRL-SHIFT-#. For the combo set(s) have the items in your hands and then select CTRL-SHIFT-ALT-#.

Finally, have a key that displays the hot-keys as they defined (a pop-up window or something).

Just a thought...

I'm willing to bet something like this will come out. What I would also love to see is if you tap a key the game swaps to that item (current behavior) but if you hold down a key it executes the spell/performs a power attack etc, then swaps back on release to whatever you had active.
