All sound cuts in and out every second or so starting from the first loading screen. I've checked and updated sound drivers and I don't experience anything like this with any other program. I'm not sure what to do next. This is killing any chance I have of enjoying this game.

I'd suggest posting your system info from DxDiag to help the devs be able to reproduce your problem.

Here's how to launch DxDiag in XP:

• Open the Start Menu
  
• Select "Run"
  
• type the following and then hit enter:

In Vista or Windows 7, you can simply type this directly into the start menu search bar (and then hit enter):

Wishing you good luck dovich, if you got it off steam, theres a very likely chance they will put in kind words "go [censored] yourself, we aren't going to repay you" and if you got it from a store, you may not be able to return it cause a lot of the time they won't let you return computer games cause theres a chance that you may have illegally copied the game.
