The game patched itself through Steam this morning and I played for a few hours without any issues. I had made a config.cfg file before the patch to get the high res textures and everything looked and worked great.

Then all of a sudden, in the middle of a mission the game froze. The only way to close it was with ctrl alt delete and then it told me that RAGE had stopped working...

Since then as soon as I get passed the press enter screen the game freezes and I have to force shut it down. Every time the graphics look different too.

I tried downgrading to 280.26 drivers but that didn't change anything

I dont know what to do!!

System:

ASUS g53j laptop
i7 - 1,83 ghz
4g ram
nvidia gtx 460m 1.5g

Am I the only one experiencing this??????

Delete the config.cfg you made , Turn textures down to normal... Run the game again , if you see no problems, Up the textures settings again... Also you can delete the default config , RAGE will create a new one ,that may be your problem . But you will have to re-set your Game settings if you delete the original config file, Just to let you know. See if that works, If not there's another thing we can try. P.S. "The patch may be conflicting with config.cfg " ...... Good luck!
