Posts: 1 Still no luck

Was wondering if anyone else out there was experiencing the same problem that I have and if anyone has been able to find a fix. I know there is an Issues/Bugs/Crashes thread but would rather put it here than loose it in some 80+ message thread.

I have had the same problem since the original install (from PC DVD) everything runs fine through the initial video where the asteriod hits. Screen goes black and then VERY SLOWLY, I'm talking one frame every 3-5 seconds it spells out EDEN PROJECT in white letters. The game does not shut down it's still running, just ponderously slow. I usually shut it down using the task manager at that point.

I have spent at least 2 hours each day since release trolling the Steam and Bethesda boards looking for a solution. I have the latest game patch as well as the latest ATI drivers. No Change. I have uninstalled/reinstalled from the PC DVD as well as downloaded it from Steam. No Change. Well, the downloaded version CTD immidiately so thats not entirely true....
I've tried different resolutions, I've tried different combinations of options in Catalyst, alterd the launch options in Steam, and created a new rageConfig.cfg text file in the /rage/base files of Steam. No change.

Aside from waiting for someone in the ATI/ID/Bethesda fingerpointing circle to pull thier heads out and fix the problem has anyone experienced this and been able to fix it?
