I posted some issues I was having since the new patch in a previous post, but practically no one read it so I'll post this in a new one...

After the patch I was unable to load my game or start a new one or even enter the settings menu. 5 seconds after the PRESS ENTER menu graphics would go crazy and my game would crash. I read in a post that downgrading to 280.26 drivers could fix NVIDIA issues but I had no succes with that.

So, after reinstalling my beta 285.83 drivers I gave the game one last try and VOILA, everything was fixed!

Could simply reinstalling the latest NVIDIA drivers after the patch be the answer to our problems???

There are issues with updating drivers. Always have been. In your case it sounds like something was not updated properly the first time but was the second. I do not have enough know how about why/how.

Working with beta drivers in particular is a little tricky.

However, I have found [with both nvidia/amd] the best practice will be to remove old drivers using normal uninstall, and then use driver sweeper (http://phyxion.net/item/driver-sweeper.html) or similar to remove any remaining registry entries. Only then, after restarting, install the new [or even old, replacement] drivers.
