Werewolf Damage?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 5:39 am

I haven't seen this question answered after skimming the main werewolf threads (searching didn't help either). I am wondering what skill / attribute (health, stamina) governs the damage dealt by werewolves when in beast mode.

I think this info could be useful for people who want to plan their builds, but don't want plot-points spoiled.... like me.

Thanks :)

What I wanna know is whether werewolves get stat boosts like in daggerfall or very high fixed stats like in morrowind.

Yeah, exactly. It's hard to know if I want to be a werewolf or not if I don't know how it's going to affect / be affected by my other stats.

EDIT: was @Estonian

I think its 1Handed weapons that affect dmg, or maybe its the equiped weapon you had.

Do you have a source (even if you saw it, just say so)? And what if your character is a mage?

In a video I saw, a guy's one-handed weapon skill increased while he was slaughtering a town in wolf form. This may have been because he had a weapon and shield equipped before transforming, or it may just be that werewolf attacks are always considered part of the one-handed skill.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I was scared to watch the vids since I didn't want anything else spoiled. I'm hoping it's going to be that the skill which governs your last equipped weapon / spell also is the skill that governs the damage in wolf-form... if that's not the case then archers and mages are going to be pathetically weak wolves.

If anyone knows for sure, please.... share the love.

probably fixed damage like khajiit claws but obviously they would do more damage than khajiit claws.

I wouldn't be surprised if mages and archers make weak wolves, after all, werewolves come from...
Spoiler
the Companions (Skyrim's Fighter's Guild)
Most likely it counts like hand to hand = one handed skill.
