I've had several companions and went ahead and married one of them, Onmund to be exact. Now, I took him everywhere with me beforehand and he worked as well as my other companions- equipped the best equipment I gave him, backed me up, etc.
The glitchness started right before the ceremony- first it never started, even after waiting the 24 hours after talking to the Mara priest. I reloaded to right before I put on the amulet, and then everything worked fine. Told him to go to my house, and in the house, there doesn't appear to be an issue.
If I take him as my active companion, however, he no longer fights. He assumes the stance, but either equips a one handed weapon and wields like a two hand, or if I take everything away from him, he has a default bow- he's a mage. He stays way, way back, and never comes forward, or blasts a spell, although occasionally one hand has the electricity texture around it.
I also don't know if the following is a glitch or just a dev decision (in which case, what the hell), but if I take him as an active companion, he reverts to his pre-romance lines. If I tell him it's time to part ways, he says he's going back to the college. For a while his ambient dialogue wasn't firing either, but that appears to be working after restarting my xbox.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a workaround?
ETA: I've had other companions since then, and they seem to be working fine, so I'm operating under the assumption that is this specific to married companions.
ETA2: Okay, apparently he's constantly doing the block animation, which is why he's so slow even when we're running with weapons out. And when there's nothing to block.
