Last night I was wrapping up the "A Night to Remember"

I was in the final location (can't remember the name) where you battle all the mages and wizards before teleporting to receive the staff.

I had accidentally picked up a few mead bottles. When I tried to clear my inventory it wouldn't let me! I kept getting the message that I cannot remove quest items from inventory. So I figured maybe if I drink them it would remove them, but instead it proceeded to tell me that I cannot drink quest items.

Has anyone else encountered the same or similar bugs?
