What do you all think? Wondering if I should give up smithing and go for more into the sneak and archery trees.

Yay more 49 points builds...

Ive got nothing against them, but there's 74 perk points. Prioritizing is great, but why not say what you'd do with the extra points? We have a 49 pt build thread maybe i should make the 74 point thread :D

Personally, I don't think you need 2 handed, one handed would do fine with dual weild for daggers. Giving up smithing wouldn't be a bad idea, especially since it looks like your going down the theif/rogue/assassin route.

Anyway, here's my build

Heavy Armour: Juggernaut (5) + Well Fitted (1) + Tower of Strength (1) + Matching Set (1) + Reflect Blows (1) = 9

Smithing: Steel Smithing (1) + Arcane Blacksmith (1) + Dwarven Smithing (1) + Orcish Smithing (1) + Ebony Smithing (1) + Daedric Smithing (1) + Dragon Smithing (1) = 7

One Handed: Armsman (5) + Bladesman (3) = 8

Enchanting: Enchanter (5) + Insightful Enchanter (1) + Corpus Enchanter (1) + Extra Effect (1) = 8

Restoration: Novice Restoration (1) + Apprentice Restoration (1) + Adept Restoration (1) + Expert Restoration (1) + Master Restoration (1) + Respite (1) + Recovery (2) + Regeneration (1)= 9

Destruction: Novice Destruction (1) + Apprentice Destruction (1) + Adept Destruction (1) + Expert Destruction (1) + Master Destruction (1) + Augumented Shock (2) + Disintegrate (1) = 8

Overall=49

Beat that :toughninja:

I actually agree with you, I keep on mentioning this but no one listens, so I just go along with it. But wait, 74? I thought the level hard cap was 70? So shouldn't it be 69?

Official sources said "somewhere in the low 70s", there is one unofficial source who says its 75 precisely. Hard to know for sure as the Xbox version doesn't allow to test it easily. However if the pattern of growth/formula of skillups-needed-to-level grow at a steady rate, mathematically, 75 appears correct.

If thats the case then I can add more perks, this is brilliant.

Comments or advice would be very much appreciated, since it's my first Elder Scrolls game and I'm slightly clueless.

Theres now info floating about 5 exta pts from a quest as well. A daedric reward... prbably once you finish all 15 like the stat boost from Oblivion.

So potentially 79/245, pretty close to 1rd of the perks :toughninja:

Thats even better, I could max out Heavy Armour I guess, maybe even Restoration and such. Oh man, I am going to own.
