FPS ISSUES, MOUSE LAG FIX

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 10:10 pm

Its buried in post so here is the fix. You need to disable Vsync. I noticed the difference immediately at the main menu. No more input lag.

To disable VSync in Skyrim, add iPresentInterval=0 to the bottom of the [Display] section of the Skyrim.ini file in the \Users\[Username]\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim directory.

**Sorry for the all caps title. Please edit it, dont delete. This game is unplayable without this info.

***No one will be able to fix the mouse lag unless they add hardware mouse support. Your Mouse movement is tied to your FPS. Its a big issue with console ports over the past couple years.

Nope it was an error on my part. This fix helped extremely. Happy gaming. It looks awesome on ultra, I don't see any issues.

I believe people have stated that turning off Vsync does fix the lag, but then the XY sensitivity goes all out of wack, as it's (for some reason) effected by frame rates.

So while this fixes the lag, it presents another (and possibly worse) issue.

That's what i'm seeing. I'm going to fiddle around with the settings a bit tonight myself.
