I'm a girl with a simple need. I don't need fancy quests, exotic races, dangerous dungeons, fabled artifacts, interesting NPCs, eye catching effects, mystic spells, new continents, more enemy variety, epic perks, etc..



I just want "Fortify Marksman" renamed to "Fortify Archery" on Alchemy potions..

It's a 10 second fix when the CK gets released, you should be able to do it yourself without any trouble.

It sounds like a job for the unofficial patch....

Actually it's Marksman because all the ingredients are Fortify Marksman. Fixing it would require you to change the effect name on all the ingredients, which I think is a hard coded thing.

Hmmm actually i think everything named archery should be renamed to marksman, yea that sounds good.

Find "data\strings\Skyrim_English.STRINGS" and MAKE A COPY as there may [will probably] be issues with this method I have not noticed yet.

In a text editor (notepad will do), search for "Fortify Marksman" and change it to "Fortify Archery " - VERY IMPORTANT: you must add the space after archery, as the number of characters must remain constant, or else text elsewhere will be messed up.

It'd be quicker to rename archery to marksman as a skill. Either way should be doable and easy. Personally, I prefer marksman... but archery is more accurate.

I also think archery should be renamed to marksman instead (at least if it has the old name in console/CS commands like in the case of speech/speechcraft), to avoid people constantly making mistakes when moding.

I think it's rather silly this got in at all. Did they change their minds on what to name the skills halfway through development or something?

I too am a girl with simple needs, though they mostly involve six? But also consistency! So I'd like to see this as well.
