Need help w Radeon HD 6990

I need to ask for help as I am at a full loss what to do next. I have tried the rage config generator , all kinds if different settings in CCC , different steam rage start up command lines . As well as FusedCore fix for Rage. My video card should be able to run Rage full on and yet it does not. I get what feels like very low FPS and freeze ups. No diff what I try nothing seems to work :{ I tried to run the game on just one monitor thinking maybe its my set up. No difference it was still low FPS and freeze ups :{ At times it did feel like it did fix things only after a bit of time the freeze ups and low FPS came back in mid game. This sec I'm running with the new Rage patch and the 11.10 Preview V2 drivers and NO special rageconfig.cfg file at this time. When I put in the new ati patch I removed it and ran driver sweeper to fully clean out old ati driver then put in new one. I know Rage can run smooth 100% for others all I need to do is look at my husbands computer to see it :banghead: Also this second I put everything back to defaults in CCC :o Oh one more thing w/ new rage patch on Sat this is when the low FPS fully hit me before the patch I was at 60 most times but had major freeze ups :sick: Also, in game I have tried all the diff video settings and nothing fixed it :brokencomputer: Thank you to anyone who has any idea what I can do next.

Screen res is 5896 X 1080 <---samsung MD230x3 monitor

Im running HD 6950

8GB Kingston HyperX

MB P8P67 Asus/New P67/B3 Revision

Dell 24 Set at 1920x1200

Intel core i7

Windows 7 64 bit

I did have lots of problams befor the the 2 new downlodes drivers/ Rage but now it is running sweet, i did downlode drivers 2 time as the first time thay did not work so did the same as you and used driver sweep.:)

So my post got me thinking more on the low FPS.... so what we did was remove the 11.10 Preview V2 drivers ati patch and installed the Rage Performance Driver from oct 4 http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/GPU121AMDCatRagePerfDriver.aspx Then I put in this Rage config see below and I got my FPS back . The only issue I have now appears to be screen Freeze can anyone help w/ this? In game I set Vsync on Texture Cache Large and Anisotroptc Filter High. I am still playing in the CCC video 3D Application settings to find what works best w/ Rage as I am not sure what to set it at :/ ....... :brokencomputer:

Well again I changed back to the ATI driver 11.10 beta 2. driver and tried every fix I could find on this site for screen freeze during game :brokencomputer: Nothing has worked :violin:

I found the fix for me on this site on the 12th post down. Was able to play on line 100% stabe , so if you have a freeze issue or FPS issue or both like I did then have a look at this page ,......
