My guess, id probably is not even legally allowed to distribute those drivers. And chances are those drivers may have been hack jobs not fully merged back into mainline. The state of things at release seems to only prove this point.

If their version control involved a lot of branching, things actually can get considerably complicated. Not saying it's excusable at all what happened, but it is understandable.

I think Bethesda probably handled the QA for this release. The publisher is usually the one who does the QA so the developer can focus on development. And Bethesda is notoriously bad with qa. Anyone around for the brink release?

IF this game was tested then they released knowing the problem......bloody atrocious business practice

IF they didnt test they didnt give a rats exit hole about the consumer being ripped off...even worse bloody behaviour

these are the only questions you can honestly ask, anything else can be waffled and blamed on a driver supplier who incidently has nothing at all to do with the development process, its up to developers to make sure the game runs with the drivers we have installed.

on a side note, has anyone thought of the man hours we put into trying to get the game working ?

if id or beth had done this amount of work they would be charging for the hours put in,so why cant we claim for the hours we have wasted on a broken product and hours they themselves tell us to put in with all these"tips n tricks" suggestions.

so...i earn £15 an hour....i spent at least 12 hours on it....i am owed at least £150. ;)

You know what dude, I was just thinking the same thing, some of the guys on this site have put in almost a week trying to help others fix this companies mistakes. I made them about 1000 in sales getting people hyped up for this game, I think I'm online for some commission myself. and boys doing all the helping here should get a weeks worht of salary at the same rate that these "developers" are getting. I know a lot of us are starting to complain a lot about all this, but can you blame us, this is ridiculous. And its not ids fault, or bthesdas, or AMD, its the whole friggin lot of you, you all screwed up, its all of you, you all have your name on that box, and therefor all should take responsibility for this bomb of a release imo. Always remember, only petty [censored]es pass blame and don't owe up like real men, a man does whats right, someone pass that message on to Carmak for me would ya!
