Wildlife vs. Dragons FTW

Greetings! First of all after reading The Rules I think is safe to discuss here game play aspects even if they come from watching illegal leaked game play videos.

On topic, I just saw a whole pack of what i believe were Horkers fighting a Dragon! The player was Level 1 on a very snowy region fighting a dragon and a group of Horkers joined the fight.
It was very funny somehow, but it really got me thinking...I hated back in vanilla Oblivion when attacked by mobs, every creature and NPC always concentrated in you and only you. There is a really great mod (MMM) and one of it's plugins corrected this behavior and the creatures attacked not only you but also other creatures that represent bigger danger.

After seeing the Hurkers fighting the dragon and ignoring the player, I think something was done to correct this. Which is good :celebration:

On another note, the player was Level 1 but the dragon was not inflicting too much damage... even the Horkers lasted a long time fighting...this I don't agree to much. Even at Level 1 the dragons should be way higher than your level...

What do you think?

Maybe very easy difficulty or even worse dragons are scaled to your level?

The dragons of Vvardenfell were wiped out by cliffracers. It's a fact, look it up.

I won't be surprised to see them taken down by any other creature higher up the chain than single mudcrabs.

Yes, it didn't occur to me the most obvious answer, that they were playing on easy. Let's hope that was the case.

Yes, I know that part of the Lore...about cliffracers. Seeing those horkers defend themselves from the dragon was a great sight. It was really hilarious too because the player died (not killed by the dragon btw, he fell off a cliff) and when reload, I heard someone yelling (his/her partner I guess) "go back to the horkers!".

Cliffracers? Dead serious.
Anything better than a single mudcrab? Mere hyperbole.

I believe that Dragons are actually scaled, to a certain point in the game at least.
I have seen a Dragon getting killed in 3 minutes (Easy or Normal difficulty, Is my guess) , 5 minutes later the player got 1 shot by a Giant.
Now I kinda believe that a Dragon can easily grab a Giant (At least, we saw that) , Yet - The Dragon was beatable where the Giant where not.

I guess that Giants for example are a lot higher level then you up to a certain point.
Since you so to speak, feed on Dragon souls, they need to be scaled down more.
No idea how this works after level 5, but it KINDA ruined some for me.
I've always said Dragon > Giants.

Maybe dragons tied to quests are level scaled, and random dragon encounters are randomly scaled.

There are many different kinds of dragon... different difficulties are different colors. I'm certain that at lvl 1 you could not kill a higher leveled dragon.

this is the truth. i remember reading that there are dragons and named dragons. the named ones being harder to kill than just plain old dragons.
