Radom pc crash while playing

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 4:39 am

So when i play the game, there is no lag or bugs or whatever, then aal of sudden rendomly mine pc crash, the game stops, the last sound will repeat insanely quick and the screen sees a bit blocky with red and green blocks. so after a couple of times in reinstall the game and now when i start, i cant use spells and items and such, i have a red square box around me and i see flouting red exclamation marks all over. mine video drivers are up-to-date, so i have no clue what so ever, going to reinstall the game AGAIN, hope it will be fixed, untill then if some1 have found the solution plz post.

I get random crashes to desktop with no error messages. It just quits out of nowhere with no warning. I have a GTX 580 and it has run fine on every other game.

I might have found the problem at least for me. I'm running the steam version, and by bypassing steam by just running the TESV.exe file, instead of the gamelauncher, the game bypasses steam and I've just played 2,5 hours straight with no issues. Steam problem causing all this maybe?

Edit: Nvm, just crashed again to desktop, after reloading savegame.

Same here a few mins into the intro at the same point every time it just shuts out of Skyrim to the desktop no error message. WTF? I called technical support they didn't know what to do either glad it's not just me having this problem.
