Bought the game still wrapped

What's the likelihood of the framerate issues getting fixed? All the posts about problems make it sound like I'm hanging on to a plastic-wrapped, PoS. I just wanted to know what you guys would do, given the option.

If I had that option I would go back and get the PC version. My husband got his on steam so if he is logged in and playing I can't play the PC one. I wish I could exchange mine. That's my opinion however. I also have a big HDTV and I think having a standard with the issues reported would really tick me off.

If it were me, I would buy it for 360 if you have one (or PC). Otherwise, I would keep it in the plastic until a PS3 fix has been released and verified by gamers as actually fixing the issue.

I would consider bringing it back until the issues have been fixed.

Return it, too big of risk at this point. either get the xbox 360 version or the pc edition.

Personally I would return it now and wait and see if they fix the framerate issue with a patch. The game will play fine up until you notice a little stutter. Then a bigger stutter. It creeps up on you until you realize you're getting 5 fps and all the textures are gone. The game struggles so hard to run on the ps3. The game will become unplayable for you after your save reaches 10-14 mbs. It really just depends on your tolerance for lag.

Honestly if you have a 360 or a PC return it and pick up a copy for one of those. The PS3 version is wonked badly. I don't know if it can be patched. Is it really worth the risk?
