My UI Concept

I thought I would share how I would personally like to have the User Interface look. It's a more traditional approach where the UI is made up of stone, earth, and paper tabs or panels. I like it when games try and make the UI feel tangible and connected to the overall game, but also simple and straight forward, and that's what I would want for Skyrim. Sadly, I don't really have the experience or knowledge needed to implement this into the game, so if any modders are interested in using my graphics (or something similar) in their UI mods, let me know. :deal: I would be greatly honored. If not, I suppose I will try and learn. :bonk:

I was also thinking about making the Spells Tab into a Big book. The Books section in the inventory would also appear as a stack of books, as if you're scrolling through the titles on the spines. :read:

Thanks for looking, criticism is appreciated, especially for the fonts. I might play around with those a bit a more.

p.s. I might do another concept that looks like or is inspired by Dwemer architecture, objects, and art. I'll post that here when I'm done.

I like.

I'd have the health, stamina, magicka as they are in-game though. Not stacked.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. Do you mean in a row, or only have one appear when you hover over something that affects it?

Made some minor changes. The top main tabs weren't centered right, I changed the status bar layout, and made the inventory sheet a little wider.

Looks pretty sweet to me. An awful lot of creative and good ideas, and they are all better (IMO) than what we got stuck with.

Oh how I hope the UI can be transformed into something like this.

Could use a bit more room under the item image for additional info like Reach and speed... maybe move the inventory/spell/skills/map tabs right to the top. Would be nice to have a link to the character statistics screen too.

Looks good!

I would un-color the damage/weight/value stats under the weapon on display. The colors make me think the stats are adjusted by a perk or item I'm wearing or spell effect.

The UI is flash files, right? If that's true, it can be changed to be anything.

Looking great. I get the feeling that a UI mod will be the most downloaded mod next to a texture/gameplay overhaul.
