Can't Save Game without CrashingFreezing : Othor Games

I can no longer save my game, beyond the constant crashing and ATI issues with constrant loading textures etc.

whenever I hit the 'ESC' button , it freezes up, and I have to ctrl-alt-del and quit out. If I hit F5 to quicksave, it hangs up and does the same thing.

Anyone else? A possible fix?

This is depressing, wanted to play this game badly.... :shakehead:

Oh, I have the STEAM version. Uninstalled, re-installed, works for a bit then results to no saving again about 30 mins in.

When Using the old 11.9 drivers that have the horrid graphical issues, i can save and hit ESC without problem. Once I grab and install the Rage Performance driver, it locks up and freezes whenever i quicksave or hit ESC to get to the menu, same with the 11.10 beta driver.

Triple Buffering is disabled for those that were asking.

Anyone with any insight would be greatly appreciated. I'd do anything to enjoy this game...

got the same problem.. when trying to quicksave, the game just hangs and nothing more happens. i then have to kill the game process. WTF?!

ok guys same thing used to happen to me until i Uninstall the 11.90 drivers , you need to wipe it out of your system use sweep drivers or some other program or do it the old way mycomputer properties hardware device manager, then install the beta2 ones 11.10 i got an ati 5770 1gb .

Suffering from the same issue, Its fair to say i feel pretty let down, how can this game run soooo beautifully on consoles yet be soo full of bugs and issues for pc... was playing it on a friends xbox and though wow hellll yeah that game looks amazing, $89 later and 25gb of download and i can load into the game seems of run ok, but if i try to save, quick-save or even change area ( like start the first mission ) the the lil blade thing doesnt spin and the game locks up resulting in a Ctrl-Alt-Del, Needless to say im rather unimpressed $89 for an into is a total sham, sooo gutted they didnt just wait til they had all the issues resolved before launch. I mean come on this is worse than STALKER and its made by id... Maybe the apocalypse really is upon us!
