for all those affected by bad FPS regardless of settings

just walked a friend through trying the old d3d9.dll workaround trick from the new vegas launch days and he says it is a difference of night and day on ATI 5870 eyefinity. He notices a bit of the eye candy is gone, but its a difference of night and day and it is fixed from an almost unplayable state and is now 100% playable... just something to consider i suppose.

for those wanting to try, file should still be on new vegas nexus somewhere.

found it

For those reading this, I am the friend Doog81 is referring to. This file COMPLETELY fixed my issue. Give it a shot. It is crazy simple and the game is snappy! If you don't like it, just remove the file.

Just wanted to add, the game before the fix auto detected me at High Settings. After fix, it auto detected Ultra High. That goes without saying, but at least you know you are going max heat.

This is a hoax, just as it was on New Vegas. Bethesda brought up a thread, telling you not to use custom made d3d9.dll's and so here you are again, spreading false rumours that this is achieving anything.

Reported!!!

Reported?? for what? The solution WORKED for me. What does reporting someone gain you? You get a "making of" dvd for forum fanbois?

Anyway, it is an extremely SIMPLE solution that I highly recommend giving it a try. If it doesn't work, no harm, no foul (something DragonBoon apparently doesn't comprehend). Just remove the file. Good as new.
