the game started off quite well untill i updated the video driver which initially worked well but next day turned laptop on to a black screen, I did a safe mode start up then restored to pre driver time and then after re installing the game instead of updating driver through game launcher I did it through hp then the game played quite well for a few days but now it keeps going into super slow motion.
my first game was dune playing on a 386 with 2 meg ram and 40 meg h/drive and then wolfistien so used to have the skills for making up boot disks with special config files using ram drive to use part of the h/drive to act as ram etc but after those games allways kept my comp spec's ahead of the games reqirements so have lost those skills , I now have an hp dv6 i7 laptop with 4 gig of ram and an nvidia gt230m 1 gig grafics card bought specifically for playing red alert 4.
im actually having a simalar problem playing global agenda which also started well but deteriated into super slow mode so wondering if its the lap top rather than the problems everyone else is having or perhaps my internet speed or the new security software recently installed ( kaspersky )
can anyone help
