I have seen berserk be the reason an orc killed a dragon. Not happy about the open lock spell personally. I hope they have made some new spells to make it worth using alteration now.

well, everyone on here was hoping that berserk doubled any damage you could dish out. it would help, turn on berserk, whoop on the dragon, throw spells while it goes airborne so your berserk isnt wasted.

@KillerGymSocks:
From what I can see of the skill trees, it seems like Alteration is the defensive skill set for the pure mage player...
Shield spells more effective, Magic Resistance, absorb magika...

Probably also good for breton battlemages too.

I'm pretty pissed about the open lock thing, honestly. But whatever. I'll got a mod for it, eventually. As far as Alteration being useful... I plan to get up to the 30% spell block with a paladin character of mine, which seems pretty damn nice. Especially since he'll be a Breton with all of their fun anti-magic damage traits.

On another note. Why is it now Berserker, instead of Berserk, like it was in the previous games?

damn, i hadn't even noticed, hence the topic name... regardless, i'm also curious if it works on bound weapons.

I would assume it would be all melee-range physical damage. So, all melee weapons, conjured or otherwise. And probably fists, too. I can't say I'd understand it if it didn't.

I hope you can at least Enchant stuff with Open. I made a ring called Ondusi's Blessing in the last two games.

I'm with this guy. It would be pretty stupid if going berserk didn't do anything if you used fists or bound weapons.
