Changing Item Class

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 12:10 pm

Hey guys I was wondering if it was possible to change what type a piece of apparel is? For example, is it possible to change Morokei's Mask, a light armor, into regular clothing but still retain the +100% magic regen enchantment it naturally has on it? This would help me SOOOO much with the "magearmor" perks which require that you wear no armor in order to work. Can someone tell me if this can be done or even better HOW it can be done? Thanks!

Yep, that will be easily doable once the Creation Kit is released. The exact details won't be clear until we see the CK, but it will probably be as simple as changing a setting.

I have just done this http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=454 to see if i could, the item will claim to be light armour on it's inventory display but it is cloth and does not impede the mage armour perk, tested.
