The game runs perfectly and the graphics is awesome looking in my opinion, but when im pressing ESC or in a loading screen at Ghost Hideout it crashes also. Somebody who have a fix it would be much appreciated.

I have simular issues. I can now play the game with little problem, but I can not ALT+TAB or quit the game with out it freezing my system. I sometimes get back to the desktop after a few minutes of waiting, but the rage.exe will still be running. If I try to kill the process my system will hard lock (read freeze), and I have to cycle power to restart.

Quite annoying, and I can not find any solution. I also have no crash log, or other info to share so unlikely to get any help from id Software.

I am a bit curious if this is another problem due to low system specs (in the eyes of the developer).

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+
4 GB DDR3
nVidia GTS 450 1 GB DDR5 (x2 in SLI)
Win XP Pro SP3

I know many claim this is a low end system now. I beg to differ, but with 8 core CPUs now released I may need to accept defeat.

Something is not running as intended, and the last patch did solve some of my stuttering problems. If nVidia ever gets a driver fix released I can finally see if id Software was right that the video drivers are the cause or not.

Making a shortcut for rage.exe and then setting the compatibility to Windows 98/ME stopped this happening for me.

Ridiculous I know, but nothing surprises me about this broken mess anymore.
